This course introduces MSF GIS training and GIS. It also instructs on how to install QGIS, the software used throughout the training. The course comprises 3 chapters and 16 lessons. Each lesson includes a presentation/video walkthrough and script. Depending on your experience, you may not need to complete all the course’s chapters. For example, you might want to skip Chapter 2 if you are familiar with what GIS is. And you should skip Chapter 3 if you have already installed QGIS. This course builds upon 101D Introduction. It teaches basic GIS with QGIS. The course comprises 5 chapters and 22 lessons. Each lesson includes a presentation/video walkthrough and script and most include a practical exercise and use the exercise data found at the top of the course page. Although most of you are expected to work through the training as it is presented, those already familiar with GIS can head straight to a particular video to refresh a particular skills. Talk with tutors and fellow participants using the course forum at the top of the course page.

This course builds upon 101D Introduction and 101E Basic GIS with QGIS. It comprises an exercise which reveals how spatial analysis can be used in response to a cholera outbreak and an exercise which reveals how GIS can aid camp managemen.
